Poetic-Verses

'' To You ''

Why do they beg? I don't care,
I prefer to let them be,
Shake a leg and become aware,
They too could be like me.

I saw a guy the other day,
He was begging on the streets,
I'll not decry, but go away,
On each corner this repeats.

I always tell them where to go,
I never give them money,
Yes, it's hell, to them a blow,
But I know my life's sunny.

Show some pride, but they don't,
That's what others think,
They'd rather hide, work they won't,
They prefer their drugs and drink.

Then my health took a dive,
Diagnosed as seriously ill,
My previous wealth I could not revive,
I no longer had the will.

I lost my job then my house,
No-one would render assistance,
The shops I'd rob, I felt a louse,
What a sick existence.

Now here I sit, homeless and sad,
Begging others for change,
They won't commit, it drives me mad,
Their sympathy is out of range.

Those I attacked help me out,
While others just walk by,
I've finally cracked, I'm in no doubt,
I now just want to die.

Forget the hype see through the cracks,
Any crisis can befall,
The stereotype? it's truth it lacks,
Your lack of sympathy, does appal.

Never chastise it's so uncouth,
Yes, it's absolutely true,
Open your eyes and seek the truth,
This could happen,

‘' To You ‘'
