The Backyard Of My Life

Black & Yellow Electric Garden

There's a river of sound running through
A carnival of light voodoo masks with
Neon candles burning beside clay pigeons
Bogey man in a funky bar
Poison ivy growing through a door
Slightly a jar
Sowing the seeds of love
In the black and yellow electric garden
Wild flowers made of Plasticine touch the sky
A colorful waterfall teardrop inside of a glass eye

Let the rain fall down like the ace of diamonds
In the morning at the gates of dawn
Let the sun shine through like a luminaries
The kaleidoscope clouds are torn

There's a winding road of roses purple smoke
Washes over silver stars
Velvet dolls are dancing sitting in silk
Upholstered chairs next to cutout cardboard castles
When a monk driving a motor car
Took a wrong turn and went too far
As paint bombs explode in the air
Down at the black and yellow electric garden
Funny faces in the condensation of a window pane
The joking jester laughs out loud over and over again

Let the snowflakes fall white winter blanket
Melting at the break of dawn
Let the moonbeams sparkle over the water
When a new day is born

Standing on the outside trying to get in
Sometimes when it looks like you lose
At the end you win

There's a stream of conscious flowing through
A matchbox maze fabrizia eggs with
Carriage clocks counting down the days
Old Picasso hanging on the wall
Bent back tulips are made to crawl
Through a letter box on the floor
In the black and yellow electric garden
The grass grows blue the trees are pink
Rainbows run out of taps into a kitchen sink
