So, as you come to Him,
Rejected living stone;
By the men who were grim,
But that they should have known,
But chosen and priceless,
As being in God’s sight;
As long as they confess,
They will be His delight.
As living stones are built,
As a spiritual home;
Being free of the guilt,
No longer out to roam.
For a holy priesthood,
To be a sacrificed;
That shall be understood,
No longer be enticed.
Being acceptable,
To God through Jesus Christ;
As not corruptible,
Willingly sacrificed.
A priceless cornerstone,
Has been laid in Zion;
Without shame that has shown,
As a sleeping lion.
The builders rejected,
Christ as the cornerstone;
Thinking as infected,
That they would not condone.
A stone as for stumbling,
A rock as offensive;
That appears as humbling,
But is apprehensive.
Because they disobey,
They stumble on the Word;
Being destined to stray,
Allegations absurd.
You are a chosen race,
As a royal priesthood;
That God has shed His grace,
Holy people that stood.
Maintain a good conduct,
Among the non-Christians;
That will never destruct,
In all your intentions.
