Poetic Verses
Perfection
We think they walk on water
That they are without flaw
With them, we are enamored
And therefore, stand in awe.
Yes, they so surely are the ones
We hold in high esteem
Quite simply put, beyond reproach
Perfection, it would seem.
But often, we in ignorance
Put total faith in man
And that has broken many hearts
Since time on Earth began.
However, we must realize
That they too make mistakes
And move them off those pedestals
Lest fools of us it makes.
So, let's not be surprised to find
Though we be duly awed
That perfection cannot be achieved
Since all of us are flawed.
