The night was stormy and frail. Darkness truly avails.
Overcast that block the stars, and thunder roars near and far.
The storm passes through in a fury.
Wind and rain were in a hurry.
Taking down aging trees and bring seedlings to their knees.
The wind had a destructive attitude, so boisterous and rude.
One might say the squalling was fitting for the howling.
Rain swirling and twirling with lightning might, oh what a frightening sight
Now muddy terrain is all that remains.
Twilight's dawn brings a pink new day
The sun climbs in sweet array
