Soft Delight

Ice tea and lemon filled my glass
The heat wave was slow to pass
Shade trees and honey bees within my sight
Reveal a sweet but humid Summer night
A crystal moon shines upon the horizon of the sea.
Still, waters wash over me
Sounds of twilight magic have set my spirit free
Open unto dance of the night, all troubles will fade from sight
A gentle kiss the warm midnight, a gift of season soft delight.
