What does the worker have to gain,
From his toil of his labor;
Only agony of the pain,
And the complaints from the neighbor.
I have seen what God has given,
All of the work that has been done;
To His children from in Heaven,
To be busy with by His Son.
The Father made everything,
So beautiful within its time;
So majestically to bring,
Artistically in its prime.
He gives an everlasting heart,
To last man an eternity;
With a love never to depart,
For meeting His conformity.
But man cannot ever find out,
What God has done from start to end;
His thoughts remaining full of doubt,
A lifetime of thoughts to contend.
I think there is nothing better,
To be joyful and to do good;
If you’re living to the letter,
When you are doing as you should.
Everyone should eat and drink,
Take pleasure in all his toil;
And always taking time to think,
Of the blessings from the soil.
I perceived of what God endures,
So that people fear before Him;
But even still He always assures,
That this life is not filled with grim.
God seeks what is driven away,
Is having a chance to return;
For someone that has gone astray,
Has opportunity to learn.
For we start out in our birth,
Merely as a small speck of dust;
As dust we return to the earth,
The soul goes to the God we trust.
