Wisdom is with the age,
Knowing in length of days;
An understanding stage,
Travelling through a maze.
God has wisdom and might,
Counsel to understand;
Giving perfect insight,
From problems in demand.
It cannot be rebuilt,
When God would tear it down;
But takes away the guilt,
That is causing a frown.
If He withholds water,
He makes a barren land;
And thirst for your daughter,
As the ground turns to sand.
With Him is sound wisdom,
That brings the confidence;
While in His Kingdom,
Builds strength for a defense.
He leads pleaders away,
Judges He will make fools;
Cause them to go astray,
Following not the rules.
He loses the bonds of kings,
Binds waistcloth on their hips;
Overthrows one that brings,
Blasphemy from their lips.
He deprives speech of those,
Who takes the discernment;
That from the elder flows,
Depend on government.
He uncovers the deep,
Brings deep darkness to light;
Awakens those that might sleep,
With wisdom for insight.
Those groping in the dark,
Staggering from their drink;
Knowing not where they walk,
And unable to think.
