Faery Maiden

She had hair like rivulets of gold,
Fallng down across her face-
She had the look of one who knew all,
But for time she cared nothing.
Her beauty illumined the drab morning,
Springtime wrapped itself around her,
Like a cloak of protection,
For she dwelt in the lands of faery
And her eyes shone with the light of dreamtime.
She was framed against the clear blue skies
Sparkling beauty into sunlit flowery meadows,
Caught in the haze of a shining afternoon.
