She opens her hand to the poor,
Reaches out unto the needy;
Her compassion does not ignore,
Of the husband feeling sleepy.
She is not afraid of the snow,
Her household is clothed in scarlet;
The bed blanket that seems to flow,
A fine linen as violet.
Her husband is known in the gates,
Sitting with elders of the land;
For having political debates,
On what the candidates demand.
She makes linen garments to sell,
Delivers sashes to the store;
So, in comfort that they both dwell,
Their life together feels secure.
Strength and dignity her clothing,
As she will laugh from time to time;
The wisdom that her mouth will ring,
Praises to God that seems to chime.
She opens her mouth with wisdom,
Teaching of kindness through her tongue;
About the heavenly Kingdom,
Blessings from the Lord have been flung.
She looks well to the ways thereof,
Eats not the bread of idleness;
Rather shows compassionate love,
To her household through the blessedness.
Her children and husband arise,
Blessing her while giving praise;
Because they know that she is wise,
And being faithful in her ways.
Many women have done splendid,
But my wife surpasses them all;
Doing as it is intended,
Always there to answer the call.
Sensual charm is deceitful,
As the beauty considered vain;
But women who are respectful,
Fears the Lord and of His domain.
Give her of the fruit of her hands,
Let her works praise her in the gates;
Honoring what the Lord demands,
Prays while she patiently waits.
