The Backyard Of My Life

When The Butterfly Breaks The Wheel

The greatest deception of all
Is the world they sold to you
The lies they told us too
The poison they put in our dreams
Make believing that money matters most
You can never buy back your soul
From the shadow of a ghost
They tell us do as we say not as we do
There's one rule for us and one rule for you
Take this pill try not to think
Don't ask too many questions get yourself another drink
Swallow up the fear that we feed to your mind
Forgotten faces we were all born blind
Forced in to slavery with invisible chains
They gave us a number then they took our names

Life ain't always black and white
Whats done in the dark will be brought to the light
Waiting for the hammer to fall
So everyone can see the greatest deception of all

The greatest deception of all
Is how they get us to comply
with every insane action
with every dirty little lie
Religion is all god is war
I can see whats behind that door
You may not know when but your doing it again
Next time around till you learn what you need to know
Its the only way you will ever grow
You tried to keep knowledge all for yourself
So you could keep us as silent slaves
We will walk over your graves
For trying to keep us down
What will it cost you to wear that crown?
You wont white wash my mind
Cant pretend not to feel or fake being blind

Life ain't always black and white
Whats done in the dark will be brought to the light
You can see the writings on the wall
Wake up wise up to the greatest deception of all

With instant amnesia you forget who you are
Your the ultimate weapon with the heart of a star
Don't let them pull the wool over your eyes
Sell you down the river abandoned under stormy skies

The greatest deception of all
Is how easily we are all led
Its been too many years of burying the dead
For far too long we have been twisted and fed
A version of reality that the media said
We should take ten times a day
You can hide from the truth but it wont go away
With your head in the sand you will be blown down by the hurricane
Without an umbrella in the acid rain
Your lost and you have been left behind
Its a big tape loop stuck on rewind
Only the butterfly can break the wheel
Only the butterfly can break the wheel
Only the butterfly can break the wheel
