Someone Kinder

The silence was not kind to the woman's heart
Sadly it tore her heart in many pieces
Her true love walked away on a warm Summer's day
The blue skies clouded fast and the tears of nature fell long and fast.
The wind shook her frame and called out her name
A storm of anguish became her flame
His silence, his absence a constant reminder that love was cruel
Her emptiness now defines her
Perhaps, one day, she will love again, someone warm and someone kinder
