Path Forbidden

My path was dusty, whirlwinds spun some days
Buttercups and tulips paved the way
I traveled and found a pot of gold
My tears and laughter dwells in the hearts of young and old
I dared to love, I dared to care, my dreams and hope to share
The winding path is slightly hidden within plain sight
Reveals the flame of eternal light
Any other path is forbidden when life is sweetly driven
The peace resides in twisted trails where past harm is forgiven
