O God, You are my God,
Earnestly I seek You;
As I honor and laud,
My soul thirsts to be true.

All for You, my flesh faints,
In a weary dry land;
I hold back my complaints,
Of what life does demand.

So, I look upon you,
Here in the sanctuary;
Looking for Your rescue,
From an obituary.

Your power and glory,
Is better than this life;
Praise through oratory,
Assists me through the strife.

Because Your steadfast love,
Blesses me every day;
Lifting me from above,
I proceed to obey.

So as long as I live,
I will bless and praise You;
For my sins You forgive,
Gives insight to construe.

I shall be satisfied,
As with fat and rich food;
My mouth has glorified,
With godly attitude.

My thoughts upon my bed,
While I meditate;
Comfort felt in my head,
Never to agitate.

For You have been my aid,
Safety under Your wings;
So, I am not afraid,
Comfort that my soul clings.

Those who seek to destroy,
Will go deep in the earth;
Shall no longer enjoy,
Never knowing their true worth.
