On this day of fireworks and barbeque
Let us not forget the red whie and blue.
This nation's rich history, and freedom too
That made me who I am, also molded you.

From Paul Revere's ride to Iwo Jima's sands;
From "Remember the Alamo" to steamy jungle lands
We have always championed the cause of freedom and rights;
Our star spangled banner has flown on the darkest of nights.

So on this day we celebrate our independence and freedom;
Forget not our soldiers, or the commanders who lead 'em.
Remember the dangers they brave, the horrors they must brace;
Before you admire the fireworks or feed your face.
