The Backyard Of My Life

Mercury Queen (She Don't Love Nobody)

Looking out with eyes of white gold
The mercury queen rules with an iron fist
Tells her royal subjects to do as there told
Dancing through the flames of a violet red fire
These things take time she says shes still never been kissed
Waiting for the rise and fall
I tried to run so she made me crawl
She was on her hands and knees wearing a crown of snakes
She don't love nobody she will do whatever it takes
To get her own way so she can try to steal the day

With lips that taste like poison ivy
Her heart is cold as snow
You only see the girl she wants the world to know
Shes the master of manipulation
Conjuring up a selfish situation
Shes a mystery to me cruel as can be
A girl who will leave you burned out and broke
Searching for truth in the words she spoke
Watching while you walk over broken glass
She thinks shes too good to pass
A diva so spoiled she never seems to notice
Her bad behavior or her wreck less wicked ways
Bow down to her majesty do whatever she says

Mercury queen i have seen
Love means nothing at all to you
Its all a game a plot a scheme
Its just Something that you do

Looking in her magic mirror of vanity
She will only ever see what she wants to see
Another diamond day of her jubilee
Wearing a solid silver tiara
Shes a bitch in black mascara
Lathered in jewels and pearls all empathy is gone
People are only possession's in her crystal kingdom
A greedy mind i detect a soul nobody could resurrect
She will chew you up and spit you out
Leave you feeling nothing but self doubt
You will be down on your knees while she sits at her throne
She don't love nobody she will always be alone
To ensure she gets her own way so she can steal the day
Mercury queen she don't love nobody
Mercury queen she don't love nobody
Mercury queen she don't love nobody
