 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

The Lord is my light,
And my salvation;
To whom shall I might,
Fear from aggression.

He is my stronghold,
Of whom shall I fear;
His strength will uphold,
Because I revere.

When evil assails,
Of my flesh to eat;
His power prevails,
To fall in defeat.

 Though a host encamps,
My heart shall not fear;
The tempts with their vamps,
As they try to smear.

Though war will arise,
I am confident;
The Lord made me wise,
To be vigilant.

One thing I have asked,
That I seek later;
What I have been tasked,
As a peace maker.

So that I may dwell,
In the House of God;
My life remain well,
To honor and laud.

Gaze on the beauty,
As I see the Lord;
Making my duty,
Being one accord.

For He will hide me,
Sheltered in the day;
With insight to see,
A mind to obey.

He lifts me up high,
High upon a rock;
And hears when I cry,
Listens as I talk.

I wait for the Lord.
Good courage to heart;
Keep in one accord,
His Word I impart.
