The Backyard Of My Life

Waiting For The Miracle To Come

I was pretty broken burned out by fate
Praying for forgiveness before its too late
When she shot me like an arrow
Through the heart of the sun
No more lonely days
Waiting for the miracle to come

Everyday was torture it was too much to take
Too many plastic people the world is so fake
I let splinters slip out
From the tip of my tongue too tired
Waiting for the miracle to come

We are stronger together why was i so lost
You made me a believer in what matters most
I've grown a little older and wiser now
You gave me back the dream somehow

For when the bell tolls at the golden gate
She will meet me in the morning
With a new pair of wings to let go of the weight
Faster then the speed of magic
Like a bullet from a gun
I found a message in a bottle
Waiting for the miracle to come

Every night was a circus never ending haze
Not knowing which way to turn trapped in a maze
I called out for something
Then she came along when the day was done
A picture tells a thousand words
Waiting for the miracle to come

We are stronger together why was i so lost
You made me a believer in what matters most
I've grown a little older and wiser now
You gave me back the dream somehow
You gave me back the dream somehow
You gave me back the dream somehow
