God would not have spoken,
If Joshua gave rest;
For a promise broken,
In not doing their best.
There is Sabbath rest,
For the people of God;
For the time to invest,
As they honor and laud.
Whoever has entered,
Into the rest of God;
The Lord has been centered,
In his worship and laud.
He will rest from his deeds,
The same way as the Lord;
Who ensures of his needs,
While in one accord.
Let us enter that rest,
That we are to revive;
As to do our best,
Enabled to survive.
So that no one may fall,
Through disobedience;
Of arrogance and gall,
Without a repentance.
Having the unbelief,
For the Word of the Lord;
Not having the relief,
Because God is ignored.
The Word of God is quick,
As living and active;
Able to heal the sick,
Guiding you how to live.
With power that will slice,
More than a two-edged sword;
Cuts through what will entice,
Far away from the Lord.
Pierces the division,
Between soul and spirit;
Desire and vision,
That the mind will merit.
Christ is the great High Priest,
With confidence draw near;
For He prepares the feast,
For the ones who revere.
