Ceramic Heart

Scantly

I read your words so scantly
All are filled with admiration
But I am lead astray by your content;
I feel your body so intently
I am filled with dedication
But I am weeping so inside
On the edge of a vastness I can't climb
Persuading myself to stand still
As my time with you evaporates.

Joy I once knew.
Parallel to my survival.
Now leaves me dangling on the memories with you
Surrounding me in silence.

Let me gather thoughts to keep you closer.
Gather time to save my time with you.
My beating heart is so lonely,
But you're near here in my arms
And I am content with this here and now.
