You had said in that day,
To give thanks to the Lord;
Though anger made you stray,
But still loved and adored.
On that day you had said,
That you will praise the Lord;
You will praise Him instead,
To keep in one accord.
He was angry at you,
Because you turned away;
He still did help you through,
Since you atoned to pray.
God comforted to bless,
To be your salvation;
And to relieve your stress,
Make your new foundation.
Trust and not be afraid,
The Lord God is your strength;
Is there to render aid,
Persist at any length.
God is your strength and song,
For salvation in you;
And spiritually strong,
In Him to remain true.
From wells of redemption,
You draw living water;
Your sins an exemption,
On your son and daughter.
You have said on that day,
Give thanks unto the Lord;
Continue to obey,
Remain in one accord.
Make it known of His deeds,
And call upon His name;
He caters to your needs,
When you laud and proclaim.
Sing praises to the Lord,
For all that He has done;
Let nothing be ignored,
Especially His Son.
Make it known to the earth,
To shout and sing for joy;
Of the Holy One’s birth,
His Son as an envoy.
