The night looked upon the earth

In gentle playful mirth

Clouds cushioned with a lunar smile

Stars watched its aureole style

One of many light years dwell above

Venus wore her velvet glove

Mars hid behind the stars concealing ruddy scars

The sight came alive, busy in a painted sky

Scattered gleaming night blessed the heavens with a gifted sight

Lost to the luminous sensation

The equidistant glow of day and night

Presents the heavens with a tender light
