I love the Lord,
He heard my voice;
Pleas not ignored,
Makes me rejoice.
He leant His ear,
When I call Him;
So, He could hear,
Pleas when felt grim.
The snares of death,
Encompassed me;
Fears with each breath,
Distress could be.
I call the Lord,
O Lord I pray;
Help to afford,
Save me today.
Rescue my soul,
And be gracious;
You take control,
Make me righteous.
The Lord preserves,
I was brought low;
Strengthened my nerves,
Helped me to know.
He keeps my soul,
Allows to rest;
To reach my goal,
And do my best.
He saved my soul,
My eyes from tears;
As to feel whole,
He calmed my fears.
I will not fall,
Helps me to walk;
For when I call,
We freely talk.
If afflicted,
I still believe;
When convicted,
He will relieve.
