The Factory of Resentments

see how
they build 'em big
they build 'em large
they're filled with long grocery lists of names
and
there's many a barge
waiting to unload its fare
the supplies are many
the shelves seldom bare
and the shipments
are endless

they choke the sky
they befoul the air
they take on the pretense
of stating they don't care
but they're dishonest
and they hide from how they feel
but you're supposed to keep afloat
and on an even keel
because
the factory of resentments
is full of false sentience
they think they know
but they don't know

their expectations
and presumed subjugations
doom them to fall flat
because they lack a format
of forethought
and are based on the past
and not the present

that will sustain themselves
theyll simply over-think themselves
into the ground
blaming those in front of them
and those not around
all the time stating that you ought to
see the fickle fingers
pointing back at you

had they really thought it through
they might see how they've not been
so wronged
it might instead have been their own thinking
all along
wouldn't it be better to work things out
than to build another factory or two?

forgiveness can be a long route to do
it takes willingness
not many folks travel well on this road
they don't have the equipment
and they're not ready to go
change always hurts like hell
inertia being part of the original reason
they fell
admitting one's part is a hard thing to do
and an uncomfortable shoe to walk in

I want to quit
the factory
whenever I see it rising up again
trying to take over a part of me
and the road-map of my heart and soul
the factory of resentments
cand dig a deep hole
we all want more of ourselves and our lives
so speaking up is the way to go

otherwise the outcome might be
a garden of weeds
where none of your needs
get asked for because
and you can bring yourself to speak
being  too uptight
too full of resistence
simply
you will not succeed

the factory of resentments
takes notes
keeps diaries
makes moves with sequels
and leaves no room to breathe
so decide
its your right
your decision to lead
and to leave

ain't no use in feeling bad all the time
when the sun's just behind the clouds
and the rain always passes
and why couldn't you just ask us....
cuz--communication is the key
ask, yes, just ask me
you might end up with
exactly
what you need.
