If Christ is proclaimed,
As raised from the dead;
I am not ashamed,
Tasting living bread.

How can someone say,
No resurrection;
Raised on the third day,
As a connection.

No one has been raised,
To life after death;
But has not been praised,
Through each waking breath.

If Jesus not raised,
Preaching is in vain;
No one is amazed,
On the cross in pain.

Your faith is in vain,
If Christ not risen;
With no life to gain,
Death as a prison.

We are found to be,
Misrepresenting;
Testified to see,
Some are lamenting.

If the dead rise not,
Then Christ is not raised;
For the truth you sought,
Conceived to be praised.

For faith is futile,
For you still in sin;
Considered brutal,
To corrupt within.

If fallen asleep,
In Christ have perished;
Becomes a dust heap,
And hope has vanished.

But Christ has risen,
The firstfruits that slept;
Released from prison,
For those who accept.
