Life's Sweet Song
Life song within shall bring
words sung, filled with ease
and comforting light.
Life sweetness does capture
wild free and true.
Not for a day, month, or year
understanding just comes
along with each breath.
Streams sing with ease, year
after year, so like the wind
blowing freshly across the
wide-open spaces of our mind.
Life bittersweetness, strength
appears, holding out its hand
teasing one more time.
With songs we sing, we learn
feeling, listening to silence when
we begin another song.
Times grow tense, following
each beat, time after time
controlled, patiently, mesmerized
by song.
