 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

poetryofadove
To reap the harvest of your land,
Reap not the field up to the edge;
Neither gather the glean by hand,
By donating it as a pledge.

Neither stripping your vineyard bare,
Neither of grapes that have fallen;
Leaving them so that you can share,
With the sojourning alien.

The Lord says that you shall not steal,
And not lie to one another;
For you should never falsely deal,
Trying to deceive your brother.

Swear not falsely by His name,
He is the Lord to show respect;
When to speak by using profane,
Indicating that you reject.

You shall not oppress your neighbor,
Or rob him of his possessions;
Give him a hand with his labor,
Which will make for good impressions.

The wages of a hired hand,
Shall not remain with you all night;
At the end of the day as planned,
Give him the amount that is right.

You shall not curse the deaf or blind,
Never putting a stumbling block;
Show that you are gentle and kind,
While guiding them where they walk.

You shall be fearing of the Lord,
Never do injustice in court;
Not be partial or be ignored,
Be truthful in what you report.

Treat equal the poor and the great,
Never the showing of favor;
Never showing anyone hate,
Righteously judging your neighbor.

You shall not go out to slander,
Never standing up against life;
Nor becoming a philander,
Which will be bringing you much strife.

Take not vengeance or bear a grudge,
Rather to your neighbor show love;
For the Lord says you shall not judge,
Let God serve justice from above.
