The River Runs On
One look, into each other's eyes
The seeds have now been planted
The blush of love blossoms anew
And, the river runs on
A newborns hearty cry, mom and
Dad bask in unbridled joy, life
So like a beautiful love song
And, the river runs on
Years melt away in a contented blur
You're walking your little girl down
The Isle, life's slipping away so fast
And, the river runs on.
Grandchildren are born, you watch
Them grow, as proud as you can
Be, I'm told Bobby has my smile
And, the river runs on
Time marches on, mother and
Father slipped away, anguished
Tears escape, fall down your face
And, the river runs on.
