We know that if the tent,
That is our earthly home;
Became a house of torment,
God would stop us where we roam.

God would give us a new home,
A house not made with your hands;
A place where we hear shalom,
Far from the earthly demands.

For in your tent we will groan,
From our longing to go;
To our heavenly home,
The dwelling God will show.

Indeed, by putting it on,
No longer will be found nude;
For life reaches a new dawn,
Not as arrogant and rude.

While we are in this tent,
We will groan being burdened;
Continued as we lament,
Tormented and been chastened.

Not that we would be unclothed,
But feeling mortal in life;
As many others have loathed,
Torment and chasten through strife.

The One who has prepared us,
For this very thing is God;
Guides us on the path as thus,
Whence purified us where flawed.

He bestowed us His Spirit,
Confidence for good courage;
Blesses for our merit,
Adherence to his message.

We know while in this home,
We are away from the Lord;
As we continue to roam,
Not to be in one accord.

For by faith is how we walk,
And never through our sight;
Confidence in how we talk,
Doing everything right.

Whether at home or away,
We take aim for pleasing Him;
The dawning of Judgment Day,
No longer will we be grim.
