No King or Queen

No King or Queen October 21, 2019

Attack a country, invade a nation
Kill the people, build your steeple
Burning homes, do you think it's right
Things went wrong and you faced the fight
Eight hundred years refusing to go
Peoples resistance still says no
Shame on England you stole our land
The deal you made written in sand
H Block cells where martyrs died
Plastic bullets when mothers cried
Ban our language and the color green
Impose your leader, no King or Queen
Internment failed in Irish jails
Our shamrock grows not the rose
Ireland united, the free world knows
The laughter of our children without defeat
The people of Ireland will not be beat
Attack a country, invade a nation
Kill the people, build your steeple
