Silver-Tongued Devil

silver-tongued devil
with a platinum mind
you can't have this

what's mine is mine

cancel the invite
you're declined
and your bad reviews
this silver-tongued devil
has pushed out of her mind

silver-tongued devil
with steely claws
you can't have me
your cause is lost

canceled the invite
try to find yourself a clue
this silver-tongued devil
won't let you through

time has been
my informer
time has become
my better friend
the reign of errors
has come to an end

silver-tongues glisten
silver tongues don't lie
silver tongues are born
when would- be -rulers
failing to listen
failing even more to try

letting their flailing
fallible fists fly

silver-tongues speak
they refuse to hide
their silver-tongue words
which light up the world
connect those with inspiration to their spark

silver-tongued devil
a solid tribe of one
has her powerful allies
has counted her coup
and is on her way to "the won"

words are her power
words are her steel
in her mouth
the silvered one
makes lesser powers austere

make a motto
to believe in yourself
to fight the power
to stay off the shelf

fight the fear
believe in your sliver of silver
believe your time is near.
