Testimonial
I wrote this testimonial down for all who wish to read
Very simply to encourage those who have a spiritual need.
Who long to see what matters in this ghastly world of woe
And find direction for their lives, which many never know.
For I too was a prodigal, but God entreated me
In times of pure rebelliousness when I refused to see.
Yes, I was living recklessly with the mindset of a fool
Which oft subjected me to scorn and public ridicule.
But my life so quickly turned around when the scales fell from my eyes
And God gave me a second chance, which made me realize.
That I was not invincible but a mortal man instead
Who needed Him so desperately for strength to forge ahead.
And now, I'm truly thankful that the debt I could not pay
Was covered by the blood of Christ, which washed my sins away.
I could shout it from the rooftops or proclaim it in the street
That God saw fit to chasten me and make my life complete.
Even so, I'm far from perfect and would never make that claim
For I fall short most every day, myself alone to blame.
But again, this testimonial is for all who wish to read
Very simply to encourage those who have a spiritual need.
