Poetic-Verses

THE LILY, SPEAK I OF THEE STILL

The Lily, speak I of thee still
To trumpet now some beauty keen
Magnet my sense, oh all its chill
The water-lily of the hill

The Lily rises in the sea
Of colored flowers' family
The Lily cures but every grief
What a lovely peace it gives.

Some flower deserves not worship
The Lily is a little peep;
A peep of sprout upon the till
The cleanest garden always keeps

The Lily's but a rare specie.
The Lily – talk no more of it
The Lily is the coming King
That sprouted in the dark valley.

The sentence is but very deep
The Lily taken home and kept
Not mandrakes full of quarreling
Within a vessel very deep.

The Lily is a seal of peace
The emblem of all beauty
The Lily loved, cherished, I mean;
Whose white is that of purity.
