Poetic-Verses
ALONE
Supported by none my dreams I held
While they did laugh “here comes the fool
Trusting in ephemeral oblique
Unseeness of highest degree”.
The church but said it was a sin
My mother said it was a stink
My siblings said I was but “sick”
But God turned up for me alone.
Alone, I heard – the voice did cry
One tune only within myself
Of preferred heights far from the hold
Of every shackle that I wore
Alone I fought with none to hold
“The sad, sick boy but yearly trusts
In going to the western world –
Who told him he of all was worth?”
My friends did mock – “but drop your thought”
The host of blind men stopped me not!
If they hated dream and destiny
And scorned it, then I lacked a friend.
Stubborn, I moved at God's instruct
I moved ahead at Destiny's call
I damned the wise, ignored the fool
Wise as they were – to stop my goal.
If but witch-sent – I damned them straight
If but hell-sent – I damned them clear
I don't bargain at Destiny's fence
Whatever God said, He will do!
I bore a straight face while they laughed
The ignorant ones too did laugh
The gates of hell did fight too, hard
To prevent me but yet I won
Here be my kind and true advice
Have you a dream? But hold it fast!
No “priest”; not “God” takes it from you
For what God gives will never change.
