Worth it! Worth it!
The pain I bore
And all the tears
I put to it
To mold from earth
My finest gold.
Worth it! Worth it!
The barn was stern
And I had no one
To my end
The flowing crowd
But left me there
Worth it! Worth it!
The years I spent
Waiting for hope
To come my way
Nay, never saw
An angel, rare.
Worth it! Worth it!
The permanence
The joy that flows
Within my being
A fountain clean
Like nothing seen.
Worth it! Worth it!
The stress I bore
The years of scorn
And sickness sore
The decades of
Denial and scorn
Worth it! Worth it!
The dewless morn
The humiliation
And the taunts
The tears fort what
I really loved.
Worth it! Worth it!
The promise comes
Finally, it falls
On my laps
I can't imagine all
The awe!
Worth it! Today
I'm satisfied
I've had at last
Of heaven's stuff
I see the crown
Replace the thorns.
