CROCODILES

Let crocodiles but swirl their tails
And show again their radiant fangs
And let their tongues but clean their fangs
Of the game that they have just chewed.

Your happy ones they are – so be
The blessed mind that you had give
Disturbed by nothing let it be
Nothing at all Lord, let it be.

Come, tell me now of roughest beings
Abiding in the land or sea
Alligators must make me speak
Of blessings that the Lord does give

Prepare my heart for God's own peace
I'll give the crocodile a lift
To lands of wonders where men live
And never wait on God for meals

Crocodiles, prosper in your realms
Man also, prosper in your realms
Let glad be now the song I sooth
The tears of man are wiped away.
