JACOB’S WELL

To the south of the town
To the East of the hills
To the north and the west
Is Jacob's well.

Samaritans
May enter there
The poorest souls
May fetch from there

Its depth is such
None can exhaust
Its height is like
The endless skies

Break forth water
From my belly
And gush and pour
From Jacob's well

And there may sit
My Savior Dear
Talking to sinners
By its edge

Come, drink from here
All passersby
Come, take a drink
From Jacob's well.
