LOVE’S THESIS

As we declare our professions and beliefs,
We must show each other
Our love.

And love must be exemplary;
We don't need sermons and seminaries
To love.

And love must be communicational:
We give out of
What we posses.

And love must be reciprocal;
We must not be receivers only
And not givers like the death sea.

And love must bear
Ignoring the mistakes
Of a loved one.

And love must be shameless,
Not minding the inadequacies
Of a loved one.

And love must be shared
Like when we help
With the needs of others.

And love must be selfless
Not seeking out
Its gains only.

And love must endure
Following thru the thick and thins
With a loved one.

And love must be sacrificial
Like God who
Gave us His Son.

And love must bear pains
Like the son of God
Dying on the rough tree.

And love must be consistent;
Not only for a while and failing
With future unforeseen events.

And love must be patriotic
Like a firefighter
Gone against the flames for a nation.

And love must be discretional
Like David
Before Saul.

And love must be reasonable
Avoiding all its
Enemies.

And love must be mature;
We must pardon the faults
Of others.

And love must leave legacies
Like Jacob blessing
The patriarchs.

Love must be reasonable;
Love is not all
About gifts.

And love must be passionate
Like Rachael's crave
For children.

And love must cover sins
Like Aaron
Standing before God and Israel.

And love must be forgetful on wrongs
Like the daughters of Zelophehad
Deserving an inheritance from God.

And love must be accommodating
Like Mephiboseth
On David's table.

And love must bear empathy
Like Christ at
Lazarus' tomb.

And love must be preventive
Like Abigail
Preventing David.

And love must be responsible,
Providing for
A household.

And love must be defensive
Like a shepherd
Keeping his flock from harm.

And love must be insistent
Like Uriah before
David's gate.

And love must be content
Like the servants
With the five and two talents.

And love must be humble
Like Christ washing the
Apostles' feet.

And love must be faithful
Like Naboth dying for
His father's vineyard.

And love must bear a proof;
Not just a cloud
Of verbosity.

And love must be devoted
Like Daniel
Bowing again towards the east.

And love must be open
Not filled with
Unreasonable secrecies.

And love must be sympathetic
Tending another's
Wounds.

And love must be patient
With a slow
Loved one.

And love must be energetic
Like a Doctor to restore
A patient's lost breath.

And love is not protocoled
Love may not wear suits
And sign documents.

And love must be rational
We don't love at the expense
Of ethics.

And love must last
Love once initiated
Must continue.

And love must be respectful
Like Sarah calling Abraham
“Lord”.

And love must be generous
Affecting the lives of others
Positively.

And love must be transparent
Having nothing at all
To hide.

And love must be merciful
Not despising
The pains of others.

And love must unite
Love never
Flirts.

And love must be participative
Not leaving a bulk of work
To one party.

And love is sacred
Promises and vows
Must be kept.

And love must be dauntless
Always alive and ready
At noon or at midnight.

And love must save brinkmanship
Like a parent correcting
A child.

And love must be lasting
Not giving up
Along the way.

And love must be defined:
Not fronting gifts
Ahead of intentions.

And love must be eternal
Not broken by the
Vicissitudes of life.

And love must be genuine
Without any counterfeit
Counterfeits are deadly.

And love must be truthful
Without hypocritical laughter
Of friends.

And love must be practicable
Not only a
Profession of many words.

And love must shoulder obligations
Ever ready
To lift a load

And love must be seated inwards
Whether it's perceived
Or not.

And love must give
Like when we give to God
Our tokens.

And love must be discreet
We don't need to be pushed
Around before we show love.

And love must be committed
Holding firmly
At the worst hour.

And love must be sensible
Devils and monsters
Are not kind enough to be loved.

And love must be earnest
Like Obadiah
To God's prophets.

And love must be concerned
Like the early church praying
For Peter.

And love must be benevolent
Like the Sun giving us
Its rays.

And love must be reflective
Like the moon
Sending back to us the sun's light.

And love must be responsive
Like the plants picking up
The Sun's rays for food-making.

And love must be kind
Like the plants releasing for us
Oxygen.

And love must be sustained
Like us giving back
Carbon dioxide to plants.

And love must intervene
Like Abraham
Interceding for sinful Sodom.

And love must be industrous
Like a farmer
Planting a seed of yam.

And love must be dedicated
Like the farmer
Fixing a pole for the yam.

And love must careful
To weed, to water
And wait.

And love must be productive
Like the yam bearing for
The farmer.

And love must be endless
Traveling in sharp veins
Like of lightening.

Love is not a bargain for the careless
Those who love must weigh accurately
The consequences of its endeavor.
