TRUTH, LIKE A WEAPON
TO THE LORD OUR GOD
You cannot go near Him with a false lip,
For He searches the heart like a razor,
And Truth is in His mouth like a weapon.
He does not fear the persons of people,
He does not care; even with angels;
For Truth stands in His mouth like a weapon.
He does not discriminate like humans;
He sees right with His eyes through the purple
With Truth brandished in mouth like a weapon.
You cannot shut His mouth for a second,
You cannot hurt His feet with venom,
For Truth is in His mouth like a weapon.
You should not bring a lie to His presence,
And do not try to play with His utterance,
For Truth resides in Him like a weapon!
You can parade your goodness before men,
But nothing is hid from His presence,
For Truth swings on His mouth like a weapon.
His words are costlier than a jewel.
He speaks and then the winds obey them,
For Truth stands on His lips like a weapon.
