What shall we say of these things, Because the Lord is with us; For mercy and grace that brings, Who would be against as thus. God did not spare His own Son, But gave Him up for us all; Of the gracious things He done, Although the first Adam did fall. Who charges against God’s elect, It is God who justified; And is God who does select, Having His Son crucified. More than that who had been raised, Sits on the right hand of God; Interceding to be praised, Worship to honor and laud. Who shall block us from the love, Separating us from Christ; Preventing us from above, Why Jesus was sacrificed. Shall nakedness or distress, Persecution with the sword; So, consider you confess, Communion unto the Lord. Because we are being killed, Like sheep that will be slaughtered; Sinfulness has not instilled, Causing us to be tottered. We are more than conquerors, Through Him who has shown His love; Though so many adulterers, Who refuse to change thereof. So that neither death nor life, Nor angels nor the rulers; Because the power of strife, Are just becoming foolers. For present and future things, That I have been persuaded; What heavenly power brings, Salvation has generated. Height or depth in creation, Could separate us from love; Which could prevent salvation, From our Father thereof. Copyright © 2019 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
