The Change

Sunlight fades, swallowed by enveloping shroud of night;
Deep within me the darkness settles, and I shudder in fright.
I struggle valiantly against horror's rising tide;
Quickly! You must find a place to hide!

I feel my willpower slipping, shredded by the beast;
The ravenous clawing monster, who demands to be released.
So leave me to my fate, flee while still you may!
My curse grows ever stronger, the urge to rend and slay!

The lunar orb is rising, tonight a blood red moon;
Oh gods! The change is coming, why must it be so soon?
Fools not to heed my warning, now you must pay the cost!
Your chance to flee is over, all hope of escape is lost!
