It was Australia Day since away back when
The first ships ever arrived so very long ago
The convicts that were sent on them all true
With no choice to give their all as we know
They never liked the situation they were in
But made the best of it all from day to day
Sent out by royalty to live and to survive
From then Australia Day came our way
It was never called Australia until then
And with hardest work in order to stay alive
Never afraid of work since they all arrived
And with bent backs yet still they'd thrive
They too lost loved ones being sent away
And look what Australia it looks like today
But if they never were to come as they had
Lots would be different for all dare I say
Not to mention leprosy illness lists they on
Still today whole countries are blown away
Nobody would want to go back to their before
The reason it was thus called Australia Day
The same goes for any arriving in Australia
They become Australian or not their choice
To make the best of becoming one at all
To fit in follow the laws live love rejoice
Make gardens collect water in tanks for family
Teach children the simplicities an honest of life
None of which takes lots of money on any day
Improvisation it keeps many out of most strife
All the existing woes that be religions politics
But education is always available to open minds
Closed minds learn nothing that's worth knowing
And this very fact of life it belongs to all kinds
Political correctness is almost a joke it's true
Racism all negative emotions come what may
Are a complete waste of life just ignore them
And this invasion day is being just feeding strife
If those coming to Australia love their country
Planes leave Australia ever hour on any day
Have they heard the of late from overseas
No worries it's easy pack a bag on your way
Old saying when in Rome do as Romans do
One can never go back and change things in life
Become Australian get over all that's been when
One day at a time be one as one and no strife
Be doers not a protesters keep religions at home
Live and let live they all know how to do this
No more flags except the one weve always had
No others from anywhere at all life becomes bliss
Time to simply make up minds get on with it
Think of all the worries we we lose by doing so
No excuses for any crimes drugs all of that stuff
Stand up as one get some pride and give life a go
