At the time, I will change the speech, Of the people to speech as pure; That all of them call to beseech, In the name of the Lord to cure. They call in the name of the Lord, To serve beyond with one consent; For serving Him with one accord, Confessing as we all repent. The daughters of the dispersed ones, Shall be bringing the offering; Being escorted by the sons, And presented to our King. For you shall not be put to shame, Of the deeds by which you rebelled; Transgressing against in His name, And causing you to be expelled. Then God will remove from your midst, Proudly exultant of your pride; No longer haughty that kibitzed, Through your deceit when you have lied. God will leave those who are humble, The people who are afflicted; They seek refuge will not grumble, Since hope and trust has convicted. Those left do no iniquity, No injustice or speaking lies; No deceit or profanity, No fear displayed within the eyes. No mouth with a deceitful tongue, As they shall graze where they lie down; Fearing not from the insults flung, Joyous thoughts that will bring no frown. Rejoice and exult with your heart, The Lord has erased the judgment; He has caused your foes to depart, Stopping your torture and torment. You are in front of the Divine, Allow not your hands to grow weak; He makes you branches of the vine, Satisfy wonder what you seek. Copyright © 2019 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
