His divine power has granted,

For all things that pertain to life;

Stop being so disenchanted,

Which has been causing you much strife.

Through the knowledge of Him who called,

To His glory and excellence;

Making faith to grow as enthralled,

That builds tolerance and patience.

He granted precious and promise,

So that you may be partakers;

Escaping upon the premise,

Never for being forsakers.

Partakers of divine nature.

Escaping from the corruption;

For making you a new creation,

Stopping of sinful disruption.

Supplement your faith with virtue,

Virtue with knowledge and wisdom;

That you are able to construe,

Enlighten you on His Kingdom.

It gives knowledge with self-control,

Self-control with a steadfastness;

Strengthening effect of your soul,

Through steadfastness with godliness.

It gives brotherly affection,

Brotherly affection with love;

Enduring any affliction,

Coming from earthly things thereof.

For if these things would be in you,

From being as ineffective;

Unfruitful if not to be true,

If kept a godly perspective.

Whoever lacks these qualities,

Are so nearsighted being blind;

Never having the abilities,

Understanding within the mind.

Be more diligent to confirm,

For your calling and election;

With practicing for the long-term,

Qualities of this selection.

Give diligence to your calling,

And He makes every effort;

While keeping you from falling,

And that you will never revert.
