I remind you of the Gospel, You would receive in which you stand; On proclaiming to the people, Of what the Father does command. And by which you are being saved, If you hold fast unto the Word; No longer to sin be enslaved, And adhering what you have heard. I delivered you as of first, The importance what I received; For developing in you the thirst, About Jesus as I believed. He was buried and rose in three days, In accordance to the scriptures; So that each of us who obeys, Are able to be new creatures. Unto the twelve He first appeared, Then unto more than five hundred; So that He could be then revered, No longer could the people dread. Many of whom were still alive, Some of them have fallen asleep; Till once again Christ will arrive, For gathering up all His sheep. As to one was untimely born, Jesus also appeared to me; Upon the earth where I sojourn, With my vision that I could see. For I am the least of all those, Unworthy for to say the least; Undeserving that Jesus Christ chose, Invited to attend the feast. Because of in my younger days, I persecuted the church of God; Somebody going his own ways, Never time to honor and laud. But by the grace of God I am, What I am and His grace towards me; I shall love and honor the lamb, Because whose blood has set me free. Whether it was I by His grace, From what I preach so you believe; That you will then feel His embrace, His salvation that you receive. Copyright © 2019 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
