Our coming is not in vain, Although we already suffered; And have been shamefully in pain, But fortunately, Christ buffered. I had been shamefully treated, While having boldness in God; Declares Satan is defeated, Will no longer making me flawed. I speak the Gospel of the Lord, In the midst of all the conflict; Which shall never to be ignored, It is to show love not convict. Our appeal not to deceive, For we have approval by God; Of the salvation you receive, By showing Him honor and laud. It is not impure or guile, I am not speaking to please man; But live in a godly style; Having your heart inside His plan. We will never use flattery, Nor having a pretext for greed; Never use of chattery, Rambling nonsense that has no need. For God is my witness I speak, In order for helping others; There is no glory that I seek, For assisting any brothers. But we are gentle amongst you, Merely like a nursing mother; As to where her children pursue; Care for each sister and brother. I desire as to cherish, Everyone through the Gospel; That not one of you would perish, To where Satan has his temple. Remember toil and labor, Working through the day and the night; The times that you helped your neighbor, He was able to see the light. Conduct yourself to be holy, Righteous and blameless like God, In a worthy manner only, Being true and not as a fraud. Copyright © 2019 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
