You shall perform Your vow, In which You are due praise; For You came to endow, Pronouncing a new phase. You heard my prayer and came, As iniquities prevailed; Atonement did proclaim, Transgressions were curtailed. Bless the One that You chose, For dwelling in the court; You are the One that knows, Anyone that would thwart. We shall be satisfied, The goodness of Your place; Holiness crucified, For giving people grace. You serve with awesome deeds, Answer with righteousness; God gave for our needs, Redemptive graciousness. O God of salvation, The hope of all the earth; With a new foundation, That gives a second birth. You established the force, Being girded with might; Roaring seas are on course, As waves are in Your sight. Those who dwell on this earth, Are in awe at Your signs; Seeing of Your true worth, As Your plan realigns. You visit earth with rain, And You greatly enrich; Providing sun for the grain, You soothe me where I itch. You furrow profusely, Settling in its ridges; As soil is loosely, For perfect images. Pastures in the wilderness, Meadows are clothed with flocks; As joy ends bitterness, Blessedness how One talks. Copyright © 2019 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
