What shall we say to these things, If the Lord is for us; Because of what He brings, Who is against as thus. He did not spare His Son, But gave Him up for all; And had graciously done, Since Adam took a fall. Who shall bring any charge, Against the Lord’s elect; God justifies at large, The people to select. Who are we to condemn, Christ is the One who died; When we cause much mayhem, As we cheated and lied. For Jesus had been raised, Siting at God’s right hand; As the chosen have praised, Helps those who would withstand. Who shall block us from love, The love from Jesus Christ; That flows down from above, Detours that had enticed. What shall tribulation, Distress or a famine; Causes persecution, That we must examine. For your sake we are killed, Like sheep being slaughtered; For faith we must rebuild, Or it will be tottered. More than just conquerors, Through Him who has loved us; As we are gatherers, Preaching the Word as thus. For neither death nor life, Nor all of creation, That love does not cause strife, Rather gives salvation. Copyright © 2019 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
