I Once Was Blind But Now I See

Cooling the Apple Pies In the Windows

~Cooling the Apple Pies In the Windows~

A fictional piece I am composing accompanied with a country flare.
Darryl and Twila have rented a campsite where a cabin exists on the property.
Twila is the resident cook for the two of them.
While Darryl is looking at a sporting event on TV. Twila is preparing some apple pies,
You see, there is going to be a county fair happening within the next couple of days.
So, Twila is preparing these apple pies for the competition of the pie baking contest.
Darryl's mouth begins to water when he smells the pies cooling in the window.
Can't wait to taste some, Twila prepared a pie for the two of them.
Darryl lovingly looked at Twila with a nod of his head toward the pie, he gave her a blown kiss.
Twila caught the kiss; then commenced to cut the apple pie she made for the both of them.
This was done while the other pies were cooling in the window.
Putting the pies up in the refrigerator, Twila looked once again at Darryl who returned her gaze.
This was the first time the two had ever separated themselves from the rest of the family.
But the delight of all this was in the fixing of the pies and both of them eating one.
Needless to say, Twila won the contest hands down.
