Poetic Verses

Snow

Whence begat or where he came
 I shall never know
Someone, somewhere, at some time, bestowed the name, Snow
And rightly so, as pure as snow
falling on the ground
December cold was warmed
In his pale green eyes, I found.

His past is quite the mystery,
As if he hasn't any
No birth date or the years he's lived
Though they seem not many
There was a young girl
who acquainted Snow to me
They were friends for a year
But forever was not to be

Such a trusting soul
To come with me to stay
Taking the comforts I provide,
And willing next to me lay
Snow is quite endearing
With one crooked little ear
A silly raspy purr
And seemingly no fear

1/7/20
Dedicated to our cat Snow who we adopted  December 8, 2019 through adopt a pet re homing.
